About Passover

Passover is celebrated on the 14th day of the Hebrew month Nissan, is celebrated by the Jews to commemorate the Hebrews escape from slavery in Egypt.

According to the legend after 410 years of slavery, Moses asked the Pharaoh to let His men go. But the Pharaoh ignored Moses request and kept the Israelites as slaves. Every time the Pharaoh refused to set the Israelites free God brought plagues to the city. The final plague was the death of the first born and everyone in Egypt was affected apart from the Jews. Hence the name Passover. After some time the Jews were freed from bondage and every year, people celebrate this day commemorating the birth of the Jewish nation.
